New in Unblocked: Data Source Presets, Automated CI Triage, Public API & More

Today we’re rolling out a few new features to help engineering teams get faster, more focused answers from Unblocked.

Here’s what’s new:

Data Source Presets

Most teams connect a lot of data to Unblocked - think hundreds of GitHub repos, thousands of Slack channels, and documents from Notion, Google Docs, and Confluence.

But not every question needs all that data.

With Data Source Presets, you can choose exactly which sources Unblocked should use when answering a question. For example, engineers might only want to include the #engineering and #general Slack channels - and skip #sales or Notion docs entirely.

It’s an easy way to make sure answers stay relevant to your team, your role, or even a specific project.

Automated CI Triage (Beta)

For many developers, a CI failure can turn into hours of digging through logs and deciphering cryptic error messages.

Unblocked now helps debug CI failures right in your pull request. 

When a CI check fails, Unblocked will analyze the logs, identify the root cause, and give you clear, actionable steps to fix it. 

Note: Automated CI Triage is currently available for teams using GitHub Actions, CircleCI and Buildkite - additional data sources are coming soon!

Add Custom Documents via the Unblocked API (Beta)

Need to connect documents and data that aren’t in our default integrations? 

The new Unblocked API lets you do just that.

Use it to content from any data source and make it available to Unblocked. Now your team can tap into all the knowledge that matters, no matter where it lives.

Support for Coda Enterprise

If your team uses Coda for specs, planning, or notes—you can now ask about that content in Unblocked. We’ll connect your docs to your code and reference them in answers, just like we do with other sources.

Deeper Jira Insights

Unblocked already answered questions about In Progress and Completed Jira issues. Now, it goes further—supporting all Issues, Epics, Boards, and Sprints.

You can now ask:

  • What are my open issues?
  • Find bugs resolved by Tom in December.
  • List Jira issues for the epic PROJ-123.
  • Summarize Jira issues for the March 2025 sprint.
  • Show me the Jira issues for the Release Planning board.
