Introducing Automated CI Triage: Your New Build Detective (Beta)

We're excited to announce the upcoming beta release of Unblocked's Automated CI Triage feature, designed to save developers valuable time by automatically detecting and suggesting fixes for CI failures.

What is Automated CI Triage?#

When your CI checks fail, Unblocked automatically analyzes the failure, determines the root cause, and provides clear, actionable feedback directly in your pull request. No more digging through lengthy logs or deciphering cryptic error messages - we'll tell you exactly what went wrong and how to fix it.

Key Features#

  • High-confidence failure analysis that provides actually helpful suggestions
  • Consolidated reporting that groups multiple CI failures into a single, clear comment
  • Seamless support for GitHub Actions (with more CI systems coming soon)

How It Works#

Once enabled, Unblocked monitors your CI runs and automatically generates reports when it has high confidence in correctly identifying the failure cause. For pull requests, we'll post our analysis directly as a PR comment.

Getting Started#

During the beta period, this feature will be available to select early adopters. If you're interested in trying it out, you'll need to:

  1. Have an active GitHub account and GitHub Actions enabled
  2. Accept the additional permissions request from our GitHub App
  3. Reach out to request early access

Commitment to Security#

We understand the sensitivity of CI logs and have implemented robust PII filtering to ensure your secrets and sensitive information remain secure.

What's Next?#

We're starting with GitHub Actions support and will be expanding to other CI systems based on user feedback and demand. Our goal is to make CI failure debugging as effortless as possible.

Stay tuned for the official beta release announcement!
